OUR PROJECTS

Cervical cancer is almost 100% preventable. While Australia is on track to eliminate cervical cancer by 2035, it remains the fourth most common cancer in women worldwide, with around 350,000 deaths annually.
90 per cent of these deaths occur in low and middle income countries. The primary drivers of this disparity are a lack of access to vaccination, early detection through screening by trained clinicians and accessible treatment program.

This project, managed by Robyn Murray, provides mental health training & support to Nepalese mental health clinicians & primary health officers in Kathmandu and the Maidi area to improve mental health literacy & community resilience.

This Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) project was established in 2012. Managed by Mary Brell OAM, it provides training and infrastructure such as rainwater tanks and toilets to local villages and their people in the Maidi Area, Dhading District, Nepal. Mary and her team of volunteers visit Nepal in November each year to work on projects.
